Our client is a joint venture technological company that is now developing a new digital bank.

Summary

We are seeking a senior software engineer for contributing to the technical design and development of the target software architecture.

As a member of a cross-functional agile feature team, tasks will consist of contributing to feature

requirements, design and development of reusable components, defining best practices and mentoring team members. This position is expected to develop highly maintainable and scalable software components and collaborate with test and vendor engineers to ensure the highest quality product possible.

The Ideal candidate will have a passion for the latest client and server side technologies and display an eagerness to decompose and solve difficult problems. As a team member, the candidate should take a proactive approach in communicating with team members and be willing to offer assistance or share knowledge with teammates when the need arises.

Responsibilities

With the architecture team, design an appropriate reusable components and capabilities.
Manage the evaluation and selection of the right API and frameworks.
Facilitate POCs/POTs (proof of concept/proof of technology) exercises to demonstrate solution feasibility in order to refine the system solution when required.
Provide architectural/technical leadership for implementation projects.
Document and maintain the target architecture framework features and capabilities.
Develop and provide a reference implementation.
Review metrics and quality for outsourcing developments.
Prepare test campaigns with developing and business teams.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience with Java web application development.
4+ years developing browser-based Web 2.0 applications using client-side JavaScript with a Java serverside in a senior role.
Experience leading development teams.
Experience with developing Java web applications using technologies like J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, NoSQL.
Experience with one or more JavaScript libraries or frameworks (such as ExtJS, JQuery, AngularJS).
Knowledge of industry standards for HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript and web browsers.
Experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST based Web Services.
Experience with automation tools such as Maven, Gradle.
Proven experience in developing applications in an agile environment.
Experience working with a continuous integration environment, using tools like Svn, Jira, Jenkins, Sonar.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Able to work on own initiative or as a part of a team.
Knowledge of one or more security standards, particularly OpenID, OAuth and OpenID Connect would be a plus.
Knowledge of mobile developments would be a plus.
Financial service domain knowledge is desirable but not essential.
